New Home
This is a new home project where we installed a geothermal heating system.
The yard was excavated to receive eight one hundred foot slinky earth loops.
Two geothermal heat pumps were installed. One supplies the radiant floor
heating of the lower level and attached garage. The second geothermal
heat pump supplies forced air heating and cooling for the lower level
and main floor. The heat pump also incorporates a desuperheater to
provide for domestic water heating. This customer receives a dual
fuel electric rate from their energy provider of 4.9 cents per
kilowatt (The normal rate without dual fuel is 8 cents per kilowatt).
This customer is extremely pleased with their low operating costs
of extracting heat from the earth.
